What you will do
The Johnson Controls Accelerated Commercial Excellence (ACE) Program is an early career 18-month sales development program designed to transform recent graduates into skilled channel or product sales individuals. Over the course of the program participants receive instructor-led intensive training hands-on customer experience and mentorship to build technical expertise and sales acumen preparing them for impactful sales roles within our organization. This program is designed to prepare candidates for product channel sales across seven different Johnson Controls business units with a single cohort summer hiring cadence.
In this particular role you will be supporting Johnson Controls Global Data Center Solutions (GDCS) business unit for North America. Johnson Controls draws upon hundreds of successful data center projects worldwide to address the industrys most pressing challenges: adapting to rapid technological change sourcing products and services reliably across the globe and meeting demanding local requirements. Our advanced thermal management controls security and fire protection systems are designed to address these challenges accelerating deployment improving efficiency and ensuring reliable operations.
During the first six months of the program the entire ACE cohort will bebased out of Milwaukee WI working at Johnson Controls HQ office in the northwest suburb of Glendale WI.At the end of month six you will be required to relocate to a predetermined assigned location where upon program graduation you will transition to an inside sales role covering accounts in a specific territory. For Summer 2027 we have one (1) available location:
Milwaukee WI or York PA (Hybrid)
How you will do it
Complete all required ACE foundational sales training
Manage Data Center leads from industry conferences website inquiries webinar attendees etc.
Provide overall inside sales support to the Data Center sales teams (both account managers and technical sellers)
Support customers Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP)
Manage account planning and hygiene cadences with sales team
Assist sales team with CRM opportunity pipeline management
Attend frequent training sessions to build Data Center product knowledge basic sales tactics and soft skills.
Prepare practice and lead multiple customer-facing product presentations (Subject Matter Expert)
Travel to manufacturing facilities and customer locations for live training and sales shadowing (approximately once or twice per quarter)
Coordinate customer plant visits with sales teams
Support collaboration between Data Center global and technical sales teams
Coordinate additional product warranty and tech support as required by customer accounts
What we look for
Required:
Bachelors degree minimum (Business Mechanical and Computer Engineering Degrees highly preferred)
Recent graduate or undergraduate senior expecting to graduate between Apr 2027 Jun 2027. Program starts in Jun 2027
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 programs (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams)
Must have the ability to be inMilwaukee WI(Glendale WI) for the first six months of the program then relocate to / stay in the predetermined permanent base (Milwaukee WI or York PA).
U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
Technical sales internship experience or Data Center industry experience
Cisco CCNA or AWS Cloud certifications is a plus
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Available to travel up to 10% dependent upon your assignments
Experience with a CRM
