The Accounting Technology Analyst role is for a technically minded professional who will apply computer science data automation and artificial intelligence skills to help drive efficiency and transformation in Accounting. Working alongside Accounting Finance and technology partners the analyst will identify repetitive or manual activities develop practical solutions and help scale capabilities that improve efficiency quality and control.
The role will support the broader Accounting transformation by automating processes that will facilitate accelerating the financial close improving access to reliable data simplifying reporting and enabling accountants to focus on technical accounting analysis and reporting. Prior accounting experience is not required; curiosity strong technical fundamentals and an interest in learning accounting processes are essential
Responsibilities
What youll do...
Partner with Accounting teams to understand end-to-end processes pain points data flows controls and opportunities for simplification or automation.
Design build test document deploy and support automation solutions using appropriate programming languages workflow tools data platforms and Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
Apply responsible artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to Accounting use cases including data classification anomaly identification document processing research reconciliation support and generation of workflow or reporting insights.
Help accelerate the accounting close by reducing manual work improving process visibility enabling earlier issue identification and supporting standardized repeatable close activities.
Develop data pipelines queries dashboards reports and analytical tools that improve the timeliness accuracy and usability of Accounting information.
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements process maps solution designs test plans and support documentation.
Perform testing troubleshoot defects monitor production solutions and collaborate with Accounting IT cybersecurity and vendors to resolve issues.
Build automation with appropriate access change-management validation audit-trail data-quality and information-security controls.
Support Accounting transformation workstreams focused on process standardization technology enablement close acceleration data improvement and continuous improvement.
Create reusable components technical standards training materials and knowledge repositories that enable sustainable adoption across global Accounting teams.
Communicate progress risks results and recommendations to technical and nontechnical audiences and measure the value delivered by implemented solutions.
Qualifications
Youll have...
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Data Science Information Systems Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
Foundational programming ability in one or more languages such as Python SQL Java C# or JavaScript.
Understanding of software development fundamentals including requirements source control testing debugging documentation deployment and ongoing support.
Experience with structured data databases APIs data transformation or analytical tools through coursework projects internships research or co-op experience.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability attention to detail and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Internship co-op research academic project or other practical experience related to software data automation or AI. Recent graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with AI concepts and tools including generative AI prompt design model limitations data privacy validation and responsible use.
Curiosity and willingness to learn Accounting processes controls and related business practices.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74300-$124500.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidates skills and experience and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope responsibility and competitive market value.
Internal applicants: moving into this role may result in an adjustment to your current compensation based on the posted pay range for this role taking into consideration your qualifications and other relevant factors.
