Job Description

What you will be doing:

Prepare and complete month-end financial statements.
Calculate and report the lower of cost or market value of panel inventory.
Responsible for various accounting functions to support the business unit.
Perform variance and financial analyses.
Collaborate with operations and sales to develop yearly and quarterly budgets.
Enter contracts into the fiber procurement program.
Process contract adjustments including rate changes and ticket errors.
Process fiber payable and receivable transactions.
Produce monthly reports.
Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
Oversee and support the Junior Accountant.
Responsible for performance management of direct report in accordance with company values objectives and policies.
Provide mentoring coaching training and support consistent with developing and sustaining a high-performing and accountable team.

Experience you will need:

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles with strong general ledger account reconciliation and cash management skills.
Proficient in accounting software programs.
Ability to self-direct and prioritize workflow.
Ability to exercise good judgment and manage the function consistent with corporate and fiduciary principles and guidelines while participating as a member of the local facility team.
High level of personal integrity and ethical and professional standards.
High degree of initiative.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience.
Relevant industry-related experience preferred.
