Job Summary

The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.   

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end quarter-end and year-end financial close process and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure adherence to the companys accounting policies and that the policies and financial statements are compliant with GAAP and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with FP&A for the monthly review of financial results
  • Active involvement in ERP system implementation
  • Prepare/review account reconciliations monthly
  • Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries to support financial statements including but not limited to inventory fixed assets payroll and intercompany.
  • Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
  • Prepare and file annual personal property tax returns.
  • Coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting required
  • Five years or more of related experience required. Two or more years of experience managing others.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) auditing practices and applicable laws codes and regulations. 
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics  
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Experience with Great Plains or Microsoft D365 Quickbooks TCR and Visual Lease preferred but not required.
