The Controller ensures the integrity of financial reporting maintains strong internal controls oversees accounting compliance and manages all general accounting functions. The Controller works closely with operational leaders and finance leadership to ensure accurate financial information is available for organizational decision-making while supporting regulatory compliance and audit Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsManage all accounting functions including:General ledgerAccounts payableAccounts receivablePayroll accountingFixed assetsCash managementMonth-end and year-end close processesEnsure accurate and timely recording of financial accounting policies and ReportingPrepare monthly quarterly and annual financial compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Produce management reports and financial department leaders with budget-to-actual Controls & ComplianceMaintain effective internal controls across all financial financial activities to ensure compliance with organizational compliance with healthcare-related financial with preparation of tax filings and required regulatory ManagementCoordinate annual external financial as primary liaison with external audit schedules and supporting recommendations resulting from audits and & Financial Analysis SupportAssist with annual budgeting and forecasting financial performance analysis and variance in special projects and operational improvement ManagementMonitor daily cash activity and banking with cash flow forecasting and liquidity bank accounts and oversee treasury-related & Staff DevelopmentSupervise accounting performance expectations and development accounting process efficiency and continuous degree in Accounting designation strongly degree in Accounting Finance or Business 7-10 years of progressive accounting 3-5 years in a management accounting experience with large physician practices healthcare systems or ambulatory healthcare organizations managing organizations with revenues exceeding $100 million Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting understanding of healthcare accounting with payroll accounting and provider compensation proficiency with healthcare financial organizational and analytical to manage multiple priorities and ResponsibilitiesDirect oversight of Accounting Conditions Work is primarily performed in an office setting and involves frequent telephone and in-person communication with role involves continuous engagement and interaction with others and may involve occasional or frequent work environment reflects typical conditions found in a medical practice including exposure to standard clinical equipment potential patient interactions and administrative is potential exposure to common medical practice conditions including communicable diseases bodily fluids and chemical demands include walking bending reaching lifting up to 20 pounds stooping assisting patients and prolonged periods of position may also involve occasional stress due to multiple responsibilities and competing This job description outlines the general nature and responsibilities of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties or requirements.
