Silgan Containers is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Modesto CA plant to support accounts payable inventory management and month-end closing functions.
The Accounting Clerks compensation for this California-based position is competitive and based on experience education and skills typically ranging from $46500 to $58200 per year.

What You Will Do as an Accounting Clerk:
Inventory & Production Management: Input and audit production data inventory adjustments and cycle counts in ERP; explain variances and train personnel on proper procedures.
Accounting Support: Assist with monthly close tasks prepare journal entries generate reports and complete reconciliations under US GAAP and SOX controls.
Administrative & Transaction Processing: Handle customer invoicing accounts payable special projects and routine clerical tasks such as filing scanning and document management.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Interact with various departments to gather accounting data resolve issues and ensure accuracy across processes.
Who We Are:
What You Bring:
Associates degree in accounting Business or a related field or equivalent experience.
1-2 years ofaccounting experience preferred in Manufacturing environment
Excellentattention to detailand strongtime managementskills.
Proficiency in usingERP softwaresuch as Oracle SAP JD Edwards is an advantage.
Strongcommunication skills both written and verbal.
Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods as needed.
