Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to supportfinancial reporting analysis budgeting and accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data identifying trends ensuring the accuracy of financial records and providing actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze manufacturing costs inventory valuations and production variances
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities
- Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Develop and maintain financial models dashboards and reporting tools
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Partner with operations purchasing and production teams to improve financial performance and cost controls
- Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency
- Assist with capital expenditure analysis special projects and ad hoc reporting
- Associates degree in Finance Business Administration or related field required; Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
- 25 years of accounting financial analysis or manufacturing accounting experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and cost accounting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas pivot tables and data analysis
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
