Accounting Analyst

Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to supportfinancial reporting analysis budgeting and accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data identifying trends ensuring the accuracy of financial records and providing actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze manufacturing costs inventory valuations and production variances
• Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities
• Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Develop and maintain financial models dashboards and reporting tools
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Partner with operations purchasing and production teams to improve financial performance and cost controls
• Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency
• Assist with capital expenditure analysis special projects and ad hoc reporting

• Associates degree in Finance Business Administration or related field required; Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
• 25 years of accounting financial analysis or manufacturing accounting experience preferred
• Experience with ERP systems and cost accounting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas pivot tables and data analysis
• Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
