Job Summary
The State College Area School District (SCASD) is currently accepting applications for an Accountant to work closely with the Assistant Business Administrator in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting of all transactions in compliance with relevant accounting state and federal laws and guidelines.
Responsibilities include budget management monthly financial board reports lead staff role for audit preparationand mandated state reporting as well as managing thereal estate tax billing process. The accountant will also assist in the maintenance and efficient use of financial systems and in developing and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The accountant must demonstrate strong analytical skills as well as be proficient in Microsoft Excel to perform various analyses when assessing financial data.

Requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of five years of experience preferably in a school district environment.
