Job Summary:

TechSource is seeking an experienced full-time Accountant Principal Special Projects to join our Accounting team. This high-impact role will report to the Controller and will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Controller to manage strategic projects across the accounting and finance functions. You will enhance processes and support organizational scalability. This position is based at our Albuquerque office. A hybrid work schedule may be approved by the Controller after 2-4 months of training.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate recommend and implement improvements to existing accounting processes and workflows.
• Support and strengthen accounting structures to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
• Partner with IT and project controls to implement enhancements to the ERP system particularly in project accounting and financial reporting.
• Support indirect rate calculations.
• Perform high-level accounting tasks.
• Support other accounting special projects as directed by department leadership such as strategic requests cross-functional projects and compliance projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
• 7 or more years of relevant accounting and project management experience.
• Strong analytical research and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
• Exceptional analytical organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Unanet or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Federal government accounting work experience.
• Masters degree.
• Budget creation and management experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $110 $115000per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including skills experience qualifications and location.
