Account Specialist

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the Finance Department of a dynamic organization We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team in Hayward CA. This role offers the opportunity to work under the guidance of experienced finance leaders providing essential support in accounting and financial data management.

• Maintain accounts receivables accounts payables and related financial records.
• Prepare journal entries and other accounting system input documents.
• Process payroll including auditing timesheets and posting accurate pay codes.
• Handle purchase orders assign accounting codes and verify invoices before payments.
• Consult with bank personnel contractors and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain statistical and financial data for reports.

• Possession of a California Drivers License.
• Successful completion of required training courses and exams.
• Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and one year of college-level elementary accounting courses.
• Two years of experience in administering accounts and compiling fiscal or statistical data.

• Two years in the classification of Administrative Clerk within the Housing Authority service.
• Demonstrated knowledge of elementary accounting principles.
