Job Summary

Aretum is seeking a skilled and motivated Accessibility Subject Matter Expert. As an Accessibility Subject Matter Expert you will be responsible for providing expert technical support maintenance and continuous enhancement of a client application while ensuring accessibility reliability and optimal performance in an Agile sprint-based development environment. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in digital accessibility and user experience design utilizing tools such as Figma conducting usability evaluations and performing manual and automated accessibility testing to improve public-facing web applications.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to maintain the client application
• Provide support for development enhancements accessibility integration optimization and maintenance
• Ensure availability and correct operations
• Work within a sprint-based development cycle
• Utilize knowledge of the AWS cloud environment Python backend and TypeScript front-end

• 5 years of experience in digital accessibility
• Bachelors Degree (3 years of additional experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree)
• Experience supporting user experience design and digital accessibility for public-facing web applications
• Expertise with Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards
• Proficiency with accessibility testing using manual and automated methods and tools
• Proficiency with UX design tools
• Experience with documentation of UX and accessibility findings and recommendations
• Experience with usability evaluations
• Experience working within Agile teams

Travel Requirements

This is a remote position; however occasional travel may berequiredbased on project needs client meetings team collaboration events or training is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.

U.S. Work Authorization

This is a part-time position with potential for pro-rated benefits.

Salary Range: $57/hr.-$63/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including education experience qualifications skills and applicable contract requirements.
