Job Summary
The Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for two full time 100% FTE academic professional track (non-tenure) faculty position with an 11-month appointment Fall 2026 or negotiable. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor; rank commensurate on review of qualifications. Faculty responsibilities include:
Clinical Coordination & Supervision: Coordinate clinical activities and supervise patient care to ensure excellence in service delivery and adherence to institutional standards.
Instruction & Course Leadership: Serve as instructor and/or course director for pre-doctoral courses contributing to curriculum design and implementation.
Evidence-Based Teaching: Develop and deliver lectures that are grounded in current scientific evidence and best practices in dentistry.
Simulation & Laboratory Instruction: Teach in simulation clinics and laboratory settings supporting students in developing foundational clinical competencies.
Clinical Education: Provide direct clinical instruction and mentorship during patient care guiding students through procedures and decision-making.
Student Evaluation & Support: Assess students professionalism clinical progress and performance; offer regular academic and career counseling to foster growth and success.
Departmental Engagement: Participate in departmental initiatives including committee service faculty meetings and collaborative academic activities
Interested individuals should have a strong commitment to teaching and service. The opportunity for extramural private practice is available. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.

- Candidate must have a DDS DMD or equivalent degree (e.g. BDS) from a U.S. or recognized dental school
- Be eligible for dental licensure in state of Texas
- Candidate must have experience in all fields of general dentistry have strong clinical skills a strong background in clinical practice and be familiar with current dental technologies.
All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a criminial background check prior to beginning employment.
