Academic Laboratory Coordinator - NE

Physical Location:

Geauga Campus - Burton Ohio

Salary:

$16.23- $19.65 hourly

Basic Function:

To coordinate and oversee the daily operations of a laboratory facility. Reports to designated Supervisor.

Additional Basic Function if applicable:

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following:

Issue materials and equipment.

Maintain appropriate laboratory supplies.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Provide instruction to students on proper laboratory procedures and methods.

Maintain records and files.

May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis throughout the year.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field; two years of related experience.

License/Certification:

Knowledge Of:

Personal computer applications

Skill In:

Written and interpersonal communication

Ability To:

Manage people and projects

Preferred Qualifications if applicable:

Masters degree in a relevant field.

Working Schedule:

This is a part-time position that requires a total of 28 hours per week consisting of work at the Geauga campus in Burton Ohio and the Twinsburg Academic Center. Specific hours are semi-flexible and take into account the biology facultys schedule and needs.
