Job Summary

Salary Range: $17.00 - 18.00/hr

Hours: Monday - Friday / 2:00pm 10:00pm

Essential Duties and Tasks

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made upon request to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Follow daily schedule posted in Labels finishing area.
  • Complete job jacket paperwork for shipping and inventory labels.
  • Separate finished labels from the shipping car or inventory cart.
  • Assist with training temporary employees on packing procedures.
  • Insert single rolls of labels into individual dispenser boxes.
  • Shrink wrap and box rolls or stacks of labels and put correct labels on outside of boxes i.e. box description label and sample label.
  • Print carton labels from EFI computer and Zebra printer.
  • Print bar code labels from Zebra printer for select clients.
  • Set up scale and scale count any sheeted jobs.
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
  • Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
  • Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping storage staging and cleanliness requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.
  • Effectively works with other departments or team members such as machine technicians supervisors and quality control inspectors to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.

Qualifications Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred.
  • Great time management and organization skills. Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.

Work Environment

Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Hearing protection safety shoes vision protection and other necessary PPE as required.

May be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals inks airborne dust moving mechanical parts high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area.

This role will regularly use plant machinery which certification may be required. This role routinely works around moving equipment. May need to get on and off equipment stairs this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines. Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type hold handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
