DATTCO currently has a full-time 2nd shift Diesel Technician/Mechanic opening at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location in Watertown CT.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
• Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage
• Makes road calls
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma trade school or equivalent
• 5 years training or experience in the field of automotive truck or bus repair
• Drivers license and DOT medical card
• Hold or be eligible to hold a CDL license
• Hold or be willing to work toward ASE certifications
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills
• Physical strength and conditioning to perform all required tasks

Physical Demands for the Job

• Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Ability to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly and perform required vehicle inspections.

• Ability to bend kneel reach climb stairs and use vehicle safety equipment.

• Ability to assist passengers during boarding exiting and emergency evacuations.
