    St. John school is a fully accredited PreK-Grade 8 school with over 540 students located in North Seattles Phinney Ridge neighborhood. Ideal candidates will have a minimum two years experience working with school age children preferably in a school environment be a team player and be a practicing Catholic. Duties include assisting the teacher in leading small group learning activities working one-to-one with students monitoring recess and lunch and providing general support to the primary grades. The schedule is Monday-Friday 7:45 AM-3:00 PM.

    Duties include (but arent limited to):
    Assist and work collaboratively with second grade teacher
    Support primary department teachers and assistants
    Prepare materials projects assignments
    Facilitate small groups/centers
    Work with students who have a diverse set of needs and learning styles
    Help maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment
    Assist the teacher with the children and daily routines
    Supervise students in various locations including outdoor recess specialists field trips and snack/lunch time
    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. stand for long periods of time kneel and sit on the floor and be active with children.
    Close out the school day and prepare the classroom for the morning
    Greet students at start/end of day
    Model and encourage social emotional skills and regulation
    Maintain confidentiality at all times

    Compensation and Benefits

    Hourly Range: $26.38-$29.73 Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.

    Benefits: Eligible if 30 hours a week A comprehensive package of benefits is offered including two medical plan options dental vision life accidental death and disability long term disability pension 403(b) HSA FSA and generous sick leave vacation and holidays.

    Paid Holidays: Eligible if 20 hours a week
