2nd Grade Classroom Teacher Halifax Elementary

This is a full time position teaching 2nd grade at Halifax Elementary School in Halifax MA.

The teacher is responsible for teaching all subject areas communicating with families and collaborating with colleagues.

The candidate needs to be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

It is expected that the candidate be a certified teacher (SEI endorsed) and support students academically emotionally and behaviorally.

This position reports directly to the building principal.

A successful candidate will:
possess a valid MA teaching license
collaborate with grade level teachers
use data to inform instruction
communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
work with students colleagues and families from diverse backgrounds with diverse needs in an inclusive and culturally-proficient manner
support students academically emotionally and behaviorally

Familiarity or teaching experience with Wonders HMH and OG is preferred.

This is a fulltime benefits eligible position through the Town of Halifax and salary is commensurate with experience education and alignment to the Halifax Teachers Association contract.
