Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Strings Advisor to lead our elementary school extra-curricular music program. You will introduce young students to the joy of ensemble playing focusing on foundational skills in a fun supportive after-school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Beginner Coaching: Lead group rehearsals for elementary string players (violin viola cello).
  • Fun Repertoire: Select engaging beginner-friendly music that keeps young students motivated.
  • Basic Technique: Reinforce proper posture bow hold instrument care and simple note-reading.
  • Showcase Prep: Direct students in short low-pressure performances for families and peers.
  • Positive Culture: Maintain an encouraging patient atmosphere that builds student confidence.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Music Background: Proficiency in orchestral string instruments and basic pedagogy.
  • Child Engagement: Experience managing and inspiring energetic elementary-aged children.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to teach musical concepts using simple game-like or visual methods.
  • Reliability: Dependable attendance for scheduled school sessions

SCHEDULE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

BENEFITS:This position does not qualify for health insurance or paid leave benefits.
