Position Summary

The Educational Aide provides instructional classroom support to general education students under the supervision of licensed teaching staff and building administration. This position assists with instructional activities student supervision and classroom
management to support student learning and a positive school environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Provide instructional support to students in individual or small group-settings as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist teachers with the preparation and delivery of instructional materials and classroom activities.
• Support classroom management and student engagement during instructional time.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times including lunch recess transitions and school activities.
• Assist students with organization task completion and study skills.
• Support students with behavioral social and emotional needs using classroom-based strategies.
• Assist with monitoring student progress and communicating observations to teachers.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA and District policy.
• Support a safe respectful and structured learning environment.

Other Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk sit and move throughout classrooms and school buildings.
• Ability to bend stoop kneel reach and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
