Job Summary

  • The Forklift Operator Warehouse performs a wide range of warehousing duties requiring knowledge of the facilitys storage plan to ensure efficient material flow. Responsibilities include preparing loads for shipment loading and unloading trucks and placing finished goods in warehouse and production areas.

  • Audits of incoming material to include raw material inspections and verifying approved manufacturer
  • Unloads incoming foil in a safe and efficient manner
  • Checks the quality of incoming materials
  • Places incoming material in proper location/aisle
  • Loads empty racks to be returned to vendor
  • Loads baled scrap trucks
  • Ships rejected metals to vendors
  • Operate fork truck in order to move goods and materials. Complete fork truck checklist daily before operating lift
  • Route finished goods to prescribed storage locations
  • Take inventory of stored materials
  • Examine stored materials regularly report damage and ensure that damaged goods are sent to production for repackaging
  • Assist in daily cleaning and organizing of warehouse
  • Pulls product and stages outbound orders for shipping
  • Checks outbound orders to ensure correct items and quantities are being shipped and customer requirements are met
  • Responsible for accurately completing documentation related to outbound shipments recording date codes number of pallets shipped and number of CHEP pallets used on the order
  • Loads outbound shipments as required and ensures all outbound freight is properly loaded and secured
  • Perform any other duties as requested or required

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Stamina sufficient to function effectively and work needed hours during extremely plant busy season. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
