Location:

Full-time on-site opportunities available in Denver Colorado and Houston Texas. Join a collaborative office where youll work closely with an experienced litigation team while advocating for homeowners.

Note:

Applicants must be licensed and in good standing with either the Colorado Bar (for Denver) or the Texas Bar (for Houston) and have at least 2 years of litigation experience. Experience handling first-party property damage or insurance litigation is highly preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Manage first-party property damage litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent homeowners in insurance coverage and bad faith disputes.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings motions discovery requests and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions of insureds adjusters experts and corporate representatives.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration.
• Represent clients at hearings court appearances and trial as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case strategy and progress.
• Collaborate with attorneys paralegals and legal support staff to deliver outstanding client service.
• Stay current on developments in applicable state insurance law and first-party property litigation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Colorado Bar license (Denver) or Texas Bar license (Houston) in good standing.
• 2 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• First-party property damage or insurance litigation experience preferred.
