Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused 1st Class Crane Operator to support operations in a shipyard environment in Pascagoula MS. This role requires hands-on experience operating multiple types of cranes and lifting equipment along with a strong commitment to safety and precision. Candidates must be able to pass an in-person written assessment and work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

Must-Haves:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating:
  • Hydraulic cranes
  • Friction cranes
  • Dockside cranes
  • Forklifts
  • Cherry pickers
• Experience working in shipyard environments
• Valid crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent)
• Ability to read and interpret load charts and follow proper rigging practices
• Ability to pass an in-person written test
• Strong understanding of OSHA and jobsite safety standards
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Preferred:

• Additional equipment certifications
• Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced shipyard operations
• Strong communication skills with riggers and signal personnel
• Experience performing routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
