Receives general instructions on routine work detailed instructions on new assignments. Tasks are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Decisions/actions may cause a minor impact on the work unit operations or schedules. Works under close supervision. Situations not covered by standard procedures are referred to a higher level. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Deals directly with immediate supervisor co-workers and team members; engages in routine exchanges of information; interactions with external contact if applicable would be monitored
Performs tasks such as but not limited to the following:
- Assists in providing maintenance and repair of facilities systems and structures to support the efficient manufacturing and processing of products.
- Assists in providing maintenance of facility grounds including manufacturing floor kitchen area office area common areas surrounding grounds and parking lots.
- Assists in preparing meals for employees and ensuring that the area for preparing food and consumption of food is clean and hygienic.
- Moves furniture maintains office equipment completes minor building systems repairs completes minor construction projects etc.
- May assist in the set up and installation of building equipment to support manufacturing lines.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers.
- Basic knowledge of electrical electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principals of operation.
- Basic knowledge of methods used in the routine maintenance and repair of office and manufacturing facilities.
- Basic knowledge of building operating systems.
- Ability to operate complex equipment eg tractors delivery trucks etc and other machinery/equipment eg pallet jacks high-lift equipment power tools etc
- Proof of required operator or drivers licenses and / or certifications where applicable.
- Knowledge of quality standards.
- Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise dust chemicals operating machinery temperature extremes hazardous substances etc.
- Duties require ongoing light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions sitting in confined workspaces using tools and equipment and moving and handling materials.
- Duties of the position may require periodic heavy manual effort and exertion including climbing lifting pulling and moving objects over 20 pounds
- Two to Four years relevant experience
- Additional courses after High School or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This location is a US ITAR facility and these positions will involve the release of export controlled goods either directly to employees or through the employees movement within the facility.
