DevOps Engineer (part-timehourly-based)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a part-time hourly-based engagement (60 hours per month) fully remote.

Youll take ownership of cloud infrastructure on Azure working closely with software engineers and architects to design reliable scalable and secure cloud-native solutions. The role requires someone who can operate independently prioritize effectively within a limited time budget and deliver high-impact infrastructure improvements without hand-holding.

• Design implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure

• Develop Python scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure management deployments and operational workflows

• Build maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable software delivery

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Pulumi or equivalent)

• Monitor infrastructure performance troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability and uptime

• Optimize cloud environments for scalability cost efficiency and security

• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices across all environments

• Collaborate closely with software engineers and architects on cloud-native architecture decisions

• 5 years of commercial experience as a DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments

• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform Pulumi CloudFormation or similar)

• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions GitLab CI Jenkins or equivalent)

• Strong Linux administration skills comfortable in the terminal and confident in production systems

• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Datadog Grafana ELK stack CloudWatch or similar)

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals VPC DNS load balancing firewalls and security groups

• Experience implementing cloud security best practices IAM secrets management network segmentation

• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively within a part-time engagement

• Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English clear written and spoken communication

• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration in production

• Familiarity with Python scripting for infrastructure automation

• Background in HR Tech SaaS or product company environments

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud setups

• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies
