Youth Worker

As a Therapeutic Youth Worker with Lifestyle Solutions youll support young people in care to feel safe build trust and believe in their future.

The Role

This is more than simply supporting daily routines. Youll be part of creating a safe structured and therapeutic environment where young people can build confidence develop life skills and experience positive consistent relationships.

Youll be:

• Supporting young people with their daily routines care and activities
• Building positive relationships based on trust consistency and respect
• Responding calmly to challenges and behavioural needs
• Mentoring young people to explore their interests hobbies and cultural activities
• Working collaboratively on individualised care plans and maintaining clear factual documentation

Youll also administer medication safely follow individual support plans and complete handover notes and incident reports when required.

What Were Looking For

The right experience is important but so is how you show up for a young person.

Were looking for people who are empathetic resilient and dependable. Youll be able to stay calm when things get challenging adapt your approach when needed and understand that building trust can take time.

Youll also need:

• A Diploma in Youth Work Child & Family or Community Services OR willingness to enrol
• A current unrestricted Australian drivers licence
• Required probity clearances
• Full availability across a range of shifts including weekends and overnights
• A collaborative solutions-focused approach and willingness to learn
