5 months contract Role with a local authority
Summary
- The Youth Justice Quality Assurance (QA) Leader is a pivotal role within a local authority responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight in quality assurance practice development and performance management within the Youth Justice Service. This position ensures that all youth justice interventions assessments reports and statutory functions are executed to the highest professional standards in compliance with National Standards for Youth Justice and aim to achieve positive outcomes for children young people families and communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the quality assurance framework across the Youth Justice Service.
- Conduct regular case audits thematic reviews and compliance checks against National Standards.
- Quality assure and sign off assessments court reports pre-sentence reports and intervention plans.
- Monitor service performance against statutory and local targets and provide management reports.
- Analyse performance data and identify areas for improvement and service development.
Requirements:
- Essential Experience Required
- Minimum of 4 years experience working directly with children young people and families within a Youth Justice setting.
- Significant experience in quality assurance auditing and performance management.
- Experience in managing complex risk safeguarding vulnerability and public protection issues.
- Minimum of 4 years experience working directly with children young people and families within a Youth Justice setting.
- Essential Qualifications Required
- Degree-level professional qualification in Social Work Probation Studies Youth Work or another relevant field.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Degree-level professional qualification in Social Work Probation Studies Youth Work or another relevant field.
