Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Yards person to play a key role in supporting our civils reactive contract. This is a hands-on position at the heart of our operations where you will be responsible for maintaining a clean safe and efficiently run yard alongside managing plant stock and procurement activities. You will ensure plant equipment is tracked inspected and ready for use coordinate hires manage stock levels and support the purchasing of materials. The role also involves carrying out basic repairs where possible organising vehicle maintenance and ensuring all records are accurate and up to date. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work takes pride in organisation and wants to contribute to a high-performing team.

What Were Looking For

  • Experience in a yard construction or civils environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Basic IT skills and confidence using systems to manage stock and records
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Proactive reliable and positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
