Job Summary
Whether youre studying during the week have family commitments work elsewhere or simply want to keep your weekdays free a Weekend Support Worker role could be the perfect fit.
To be considered for this role you must hold a Full UK driving licence however access to your own vehicle is not essential.
We are on looking for a MaleSupport Workerto join the team based in Bournemouth bringing energy encouragement and a person-centred approach to the support you provide. Youll play an important role in helping the people we support build confidence develop their independence and enjoy everyday life on their own terms.
Every person is different and understanding how someone communicates is a key part of the role. You may use visual supports PECS Signalong gestures or individual communication styles to help people express their choices needs and preferences. Dont worry if youre new to Signalong or other communication methodsfull training and support will be provided.
No two days are the same. You could be out enjoying a walk or bike ride listening to music working on a puzzle getting creative in the garden or taking part in activities within the local community. Alongside these experiences youll provide practical person-centred support with everyday tasks such as meal preparation shopping personal care and medication.
At the heart of everything we do is promoting the independence of the person we support and ensuring we have a relaxed empathetic and encouraging team working with us helps us achieve this aim.
Hours of work - 14 hours per week

Sunday 07:00 21:00
Week 2
Saturday 15:00 21:00
