About the role

Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll work alongside warehouse colleagues to ensure goods are received stored picked and dispatched safely accurately and efficiently.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading motivating and supporting warehouse colleagues to achieve operational quality and productivity targets

• Working alongside the team on picking packing loading unloading goods-in goods-out and inventory activities as required

• Allocating workloads and ensuring resources are used effectively throughout the shift

• Monitoring productivity quality and accuracy taking corrective action where necessary

• Delivering daily team briefings and communicating priorities performance expectations and safety updates

• Coaching training and developing team members while supporting performance management activities

• Supporting stock accuracy continuous improvement initiatives operational reporting and warehouse planning activities

About you

Youll have previous experience within a warehouse logistics distribution or supply chain environment along with experience in a Team Leader Supervisor or similar people management role. Youll have a proven track record of achieving productivity quality and service targets while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.

Experience managing warehouse activities such as goods receipt picking packing dispatch and inventory control is essential. Youll also be confident conducting team briefings coaching colleagues and supporting performance reviews and development plans.

Youll thrive in this role if youre motivated hands on and passionate about leading people in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential alongside a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making. Youll be organised detail oriented and capable of working under pressure to meet operational deadlines. Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic IT systems would be advantageous.
