Warehouse Operative / Driver

Full-Time Permanent
Monday to Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm (40 hours per week)
Salary:DOE

A growing food manufacturing business is looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative / Driver to join its logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied hands-on role combining warehouse operations with delivery driving in a fast-paced environment.

Were looking for someone with a positive attitude strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team.

The Role

Youll play a key role in ensuring products are received stored picked packed and delivered efficiently helping maintain high standards of service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse

  • Load delivery vehicles for early morning departures.
  • Receive inspect and store incoming stock.
  • Book goods into the stock management system (training provided).
  • Pick pack and prepare customer orders.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts.
  • Organise and rotate stock efficiently.
  • Prepare product samples for the commercial team.
  • Arrange courier collections and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean organised and safe warehouse environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and forklifts (training available).

Driving

  • Complete customer deliveries safely and on time.
  • Load and unload vehicles as required.
  • Ensure deliveries are accurate and professionally completed.
  • Complete delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues.

About You

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous warehouse and delivery driving experience is preferred.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive dependable and able to work well under pressure.
  • Comfortable using smartphones delivery apps email and basic computer systems.
  • Forklift licence is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
