We are recruiting for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience ideally within the food manufacturing sector who enjoys working in a fast-paced quality-focused environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods maintaining accurate stock control and supporting production by ensuring products are received stored and dispatched safely and accurately. A strong commitment to health & safety quality standards and teamwork is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Pick pack and prepare orders accurately for dispatch.
Complete all dispatch documentation accurately.
Receive process and store incoming stock ensuring FIFO (First In First Out) stock rotation is maintained.
Support the efficient management of inbound and outbound goods.
Carry out stock checks and inventory counts as required.
Confirm completed loads and report any discrepancies promptly.
Operate a Forklift Truck and other mechanical handling equipment safely.
Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping and cleanliness.
Help reduce non-conformances by following quality procedures and identifying areas for improvement.
Follow all health & safety food safety and GMP procedures.
Undertake manual handling and lifting duties where required.
Report accidents incidents hazards and near misses in line with company procedures.
Support the wider production team and carry out additional duties as required.
What Were Looking For
Essential:
Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
Previous warehouse experience.
Good level of written and spoken English.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
Reliable punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
Desirable:
Experience within a food manufacturing or food warehouse environment.
Understanding of Food Safety GMP and quality procedures.
Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
