About the role
Bring your logistics expertise to a fast-paced high-volume operation where precision performance and leadership matter. As our Operations Manager youll oversee our returns movement ensuring seamless flow across departments and delivery excellence for our high-profile retail clients. This is a permanent position based at our warehouse in Bradford working across our Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm shift. As our Operations Manager youll play a crucial role in ensuring our processes run smoothly and efficiently meeting the expectations of our high-profile customers and keeping performance on track.
Reporting directly to the General Manager youll receive strategic support while leading a team of Team Managers across warehouse and distribution functions. Youll be responsible for driving performance developing talent and maintaining high operational standards across all logistics processes.
- Championing a safe working environment ensuring all activities align with Health & Safety policies and are treated as a top priority
- Taking daily ownership of direct operational costs contributing to the overall P&L performance
- Leading and managing the Operations team in your department providing clear direction support and development.
- Developing implementing and regularly reviewing Standard Operating Procedures to drive consistency quality and continuous improvement across all operational activities
- Overseeing and resolving warehouse-related queries within the Operations area
What we need from you
- A proven ability to create a dynamic high-performing team environment
- Strong coaching and development skills with a passion for helping others grow
- Effective people management leadership and influencing skills
- A proactive mindset that embraces change and drives improvement
- A good knowledge of Health and Safety in a warehouse and distribution environment
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and how to apply them in practice
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
