As Ward Manager youll be instrumental in shaping the culture of the ward empowering your team and ensuring patients receive consistent high-quality care in a supportive and structured environment.

What Were Looking For

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Previous experience working within a mental health hospital or inpatient setting
  • Senior nursing or management experience
  • Strong understanding of mental health legislation safeguarding and clinical governance
  • Experience leading and developing nursing teams
  • Excellent communication leadership and organisational skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality person-centred care

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the ward
  • Ensure high standards of patient care safety and wellbeing
  • Support and develop nursing and support staff through coaching supervision and training
  • Monitor clinical practice care planning and risk management processes
  • Promote a positive therapeutic environment that supports recovery
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards policies and clinical governance requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Support audits quality improvement initiatives and service development
  • Build positive relationships with patients families and external professionals
