Waking Night Carer End-of-Life Care

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Waking Night Carer to support a service user requiring end-of-life care during the night.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality person-centred care and ensure the service user remains comfortable safe and treated with dignity throughout the night.

• Providing compassionate care and support during the night
  
• Supporting the service user with end-of-life care needs
  
• Monitoring the service users comfort and wellbeing
  
• Assisting with personal care and repositioning where required
  
• Following care plans and maintaining accurate records
  
• Responding appropriately to any changes in the service users condition
  
• Working closely with family members and the wider care team
  
• Maintaining dignity privacy and respect at all times
  

• Previous experience in end-of-life or palliative care is essential
  
• Experience working waking night shifts
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Compassionate patient and reliable approach
  
• Ability to work independently during the night
  
• Moving and handling experience is desirable
  
• Relevant care qualifications and training are desirable
  

Pay: 14.24 per hour
