Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Waiter to join our team in Sheffield United this role you will provide exceptional service to our guests ensuring a memorable dining experience through attentive friendly and efficient service. You will be the face of our establishment delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality.

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them at appropriate tables
  • Present menus and provide knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage offerings
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally ensuring orders are correct and presented attractively
  • Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
  • Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions securely
  • Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next service
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area including tables chairs and service stations
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Accommodate special requests and dietary requirements with professionalism and care
  • Manage multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining service quality
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required

Qualifications :

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tables effectively

  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Previous experience as a waiter or in a food service role (preferred)
  • Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting (preferred)
  • Familiarity with POS systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of menu items wine pairings and dietary requirements (preferred)
  • Cash handling experience (preferred)
