Volunteer Social Media Support

We are a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for adults young adults familiescarersand affected others across the Wirral. We provide a non-judgemental service with qualified experienced staff and volunteers who offer support in health & wellbeing and substance misuse. We can talk to you in several supportive environments all which have a friendly atmosphere and provide you with information to help you reduce your substance misuse or to become abstinent.

We are part of Change Grow Live a national health and social care charity which providesa range of treatment recovery and support services for those who have concerns about their drug or alcohol use.

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

AtWirral Wayswe believe social media platforms area great wayto connect with those who use our services and engage with new young people or family members. We also use social media to offer advice and give information whilst promoting the services and support we have on offer.

As a social media support volunteer you will play an instrumental role in supporting the team tomaintainour social media presence. This will include promoting local initiativesprovidingharm reduction advice and updating people of any service changes. You will also play a key role in the development and growth of our social media presence. This could include exploringadditionalplatforms and being creative and innovative with how we deliver our content.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to gain experience while supporting a local service to grow andmaintainits social media platforms and presence. You willbesupportedby theComms and Marketing Leadand given training around our service to support you in your role. You can really make a difference by helping us to engage withpeople right across the Wirral.

Volunteering at Change Grow Live

• Volunteers contribute to Change Grow Live in a variety of ways. From Admin Volunteers to Service User Reps from Peer Mentors to Healthcare Support Volunteers from Independent Visitors to Community Mentors each volunteer brings a unique set of skills and talents. We are incredibly grateful for all that volunteers do to support our service users.
• If there isnt a specific volunteering role listed for the service in your area or have a skill you would like to donate to us you can use this listing to express your interest
• Most of our volunteer opportunities dont need any special qualifications. Well make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that youre kind open-minded and passionate about supporting people.
• Everyone is welcome at Change Grow Live. As a volunteer you will be treated with respect and accepted for who you are. You dont need to have personal experience of drug and alcohol recovery to get involved
