Volunteer Minibus Driver Bradford Hospice
Job Summary
Time: Anytime between 9am and 4:30pm
Location: Marie Curie Hospice Maudsley Street Bradford BD3 9LE
Criteria:Minimum 18 years of Driving Licence
- Collect patients from agreed locations at pre-arranged times and transport them safely to the hospice
- Return patients home after their pre-arranged appointment has finished
- Ensure patients gain safe entry to their destinations
- Refer any medical social or personal concerns expressed by patients to staff
- Ensure vehicle space and any equipment are clean safe and ready for use
- Friendly reliable and bring a positive attitude
- A courteous and caring manner
- Comfortable talking to people from all walks of life
- Some knowledge of your local area
- Responsible driver and considerate of patient needs
- Respect for confidentiality and boundaries
- Training ongoing guidance and wellbeing support
- Opportunity to completeMiDAS - Minibus Driver Awareness & Assessment Training Course
- Full Induction in preparation of using the Marie Curie Minibus
- Use existing skills or gain new ones
- Regular updates on the difference you are making
- Recognition for your time
