Description
We are looking for volunteers to support our physiotherapy team run gym sessions in our hospices so that patients can exercise in a safe and welcoming environment. Without the support of our volunteers these sessions simply could not happen.
Your role will include some of but is not restricted to the following tasks:
- Help patients get started with their gym programmes
- Register each gym session and record patients exercises
- Assist the physiotherapist with the day-to-day running of the gym (you will not run the sessions yourself)
- Pass on appropriate information about patients to the physiotherapist
- Help provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for the patients
- Help with other related tasks when necessary
