Responsibilities
At Change Grow Live we believe groups are a great way to engage and connect with those who use our services. We therefore offer a wide range of structured and peer lead group work programmes including Foundations of Recovery and SMART Recovery.
As a Group Work Support Volunteer you will play an instrumental role in supporting the facilitator in the planning and preparation of groups. This will include promoting groups to service users reminding them of up and coming sessions and engaging with those who do not attend. You will be provided with training and supported to eventually be able to take the lead in delivering some of the groups and provide one to one support to clients within the group setting. You will alsohave the opportunity toplay a key role in the review and development of session materials including content handouts and delivery.
Assist in the preparation of content and materials needed for groupwork sessions
Create an appropriate and dynamic environment for a group session
Meet and greet clients welcoming them into the group setting
Co-facilitate groups taking a lead on activities and check ins
Provide 1.2.1 support where necessary within the group
Work towards Taking a lead on delivering some groups independently
Record group attendance on case management systems
Contact service users who DNA re-engaging them with the group
Play a part in the review and development of existing and new training material and delivery
Education Knowledge Skillsand Experience:
Ability to maintain confidentialityandwork withprofessional boundaries
Good communication skills
Confident
IT Skills
Anon-judgmentalattitude and desire to work with our client group
