Overview

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers and make a real difference

Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe womenonly traumainformed space where women experiencing homelessness substance use and exploitation can access consistent care and support.
  • Improve access to primary care through GPled clinical provision delivered directly from the River Womens Hub reducing inequalities and removing barriers to treatment
  • Offer flexible relational support that meets women where they are blending outreach inhub support and coordinated pathways with River Liverpool services
  • Expand therapeutic wellbeing and confidencebuilding activities shaped by womens voices and lived experience.
  • Strengthen integrated working across River Liverpool including seamless links with Brownlow Health housing mental health criminal justice and partner organisations.
  • Champion womens leadership and involvement ensuring the Hub is codesigned and continuously shaped by the women who use it.

The applicant would be interested in working and supporting females affected by substance misuse homelessness domestic and sexual violence and exploitation.

Providing support for IRIS Project and carry out:

  • Urine testing
  • Pregnancy testing
  • DBS testing
  • Issuing naloxone and harm reduction advice
  • Needle exchange
  • 1-2-1 support

Carry a small caseload of female only clients and see them in the hub for 1-21 support .

Most of our volunteer opportunities dont need any special qualifications. Well make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that youre kind open-minded and passionate about supporting people.

Training:

Attendance on training is an essential part for the volunteer role.

Mandatory: Volunteer induction training

Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training

Required: Drug awareness training

Required: Harm reduction training

Required: Alcohol awareness training
