Job Summary
A veterinary hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead its clinical team and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about leadership mentorship and practicing advanced medicine in a collaborative role combines hands-on clinical responsibilities with leadership duties allowing you to shape medical standards support team development and drive overall hospital success.
- Perform diagnostics treatment planning and surgical procedures
- Establish and maintain medical protocols and standards of care
- Mentor veterinarians and clinical staff to support professional growth
- Ensure compliance with medical legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate medical records and oversee quality of care
- Build strong client relationships through communication and education
- Support hospital performance team engagement and clinical outcomes
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license in good standing (or eligibility)
- 35 years of clinical experience (leadership experience preferred)
- Strong clinical surgical and diagnostic skills
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient-centered care
