The role

As a Vehicle Transport Driver youll play a vital role in supporting the safe movement storage inspection and basic maintenance of military vehicles across the Ashchurch site. Working within a busy logistics operation youll help ensure vehicles and assets are maintained available and ready to meet customer and operational requirements.

Day-to-day you will be required to:

• Transport vehicles and assets safely across the site
• Load and unload vehicles and equipment in line with operational requirements
• Carry out basic vehicle maintenance checks including oil and fluid inspections
• Support vehicle storage operations and maintain the condition of assets
• Report faults and maintain accurate records and documentation.

This is a full-time permanent position based on-site at Ashchurch working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Essential experience of the Vehicle Transport Driver:

• IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and Outlook
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.

Qualifications for the Vehicle Transport Driver:

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Category CE Driving Licence (desirable)
• Category H Driving Licence (desirable)
• Material Handling Equipment Operator certification (desirable)
• Experience within vehicle logistics fleet management or a Ministry of Defence environment (desirable)
• Knowledge of Motor Transport Safety Regulations (desirable)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
