VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Were recruiting for an established automotive dealership in Carlisle that is looking to strengthen its workshop team with an experienced Technician.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The package includes:
Technician position
Manufacturer and technical training
Electric vehicle training and development
Established dealership environment
Opportunities to continue developing your technical skills
THE ROLE
Diagnose and repair vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
Carry out servicing maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard
Use current diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults
Provide technical advice and support where required
Work to manufacturer and dealership standards and procedures
Complete work efficiently while maintaining a right-first-time approach
Maintain clear and accurate records of work carried out
Work closely with the wider workshop and aftersales team to keep vehicles moving
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Youll need:
Strong previous experience as an Automotive Technician
Proven ability to identify and resolve vehicle faults
An NVQ Level 2 or 3 City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification
Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop
A full UK driving licence
A professional approach to quality safety and customer service
It would be great if you also have:
Main dealership experience
An MOT Testing qualification
Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles
Manufacturer technical training
Experience working with a wide range of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment
