Job Summary
Unit Role: Reserve War Fighting Infantry Light Role Unit.
Position Role: UK Ops Officer within a Reserve Inf LR Bn.
Responsibilities: The Operations Officer is directly reportable to the Unit Commanding Officer or Chief of Staff. They are the principle Staff Officer within a HQ responsible for the Force Preparation Force Generation and Unit commitments.
- Provide SME advice to the Comd Gp on commitment issues including readiness across all elements of the Unit.
- Interface with G7 so that the most appropriate training for the operational requirement is received/delivered.
- Direct the FPrep and FGen of all FEs from the Unit.
- Manager of Unit/ formation scheduling applications ensuring operations can be achieved.
- Responsible to the CO as unit Operations Officer.
- Provide oversight and prioritisation as required for all trawls.
