Job Summary

Are you a skilled relationship builder and persuasive writer who wants to secure vital funding that makes a real difference to hospice care

As our Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser youll play a key role in generating income that supports the compassionate care provided by St Peter & St James Hospice. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation youll identify new funding opportunities create compelling grant applications and build lasting relationships with funders who share our vision.   • Salary:24633 - 27142 pro rata (30791 - 33928 full-time equivalent per annum)
  • Hours: 30hours per week (over 4 days)
  • Contract: Permanent part-time

What youll be doing

  • Research write and submit high-quality funding applications to trusts and foundations securing income for core services and priority projects.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of funding opportunities ensuring potential sources of support are identified and maximised.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to gather information and develop compelling cases for support.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective funders helping them understand the impact of their support.
  • Coordinate the submission of monitoring and evaluation reports ensuring all funder requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor funding pledges payment schedules and received income reporting progress and risks to the Head of Fundraising.
  • Maintain accurate records on the fundraising CRM and ensure all administration is completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant regulations ethical fundraising standards and best practice.

What were looking for

  • Proven experience in trust and foundation fundraising within a charity environment with a track record of securing grants from a range of funders.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to create compelling persuasive funding applications.
  • A confident and adaptable communicator who can tailor funding proposals to meet individual funder priorities.
  • A good understanding of restricted and unrestricted funding budgets and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience using Raisers Edge NXT or a similar CRM system together with a data-driven approach to fundraising.
  • A proactive resilient and solutions-focused approach to work.
