Unity Schools Partnership is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Trust Compliance Manager (Operations / Estates) to support our ambition for excellence across all schools within the trust.

Reporting to the Head of Operations you will play a key role in ensuring statutory compliance and consistency of operational services across the trust with a particular focus on compliance. This is a varied hands-on role that will see you working closely with school leaders site teams and the central operations team to promote safe working practices and a strong culture of compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Trusts Health and Safety Policy and promote a strong health and safety culture across all sites
• Act as a Trust expert on compliance
• Carry out internal compliance audits and risk assessments managing actions through to completion
• Oversee and maintain a database of school risk assessments and compliance records
• Keep up to date with changes in legislation and ensure these are implemented across the Trust
• Work collaboratively with Headteachers Site Managers and contractors to ensure safe systems of work
• Assist with asset management and compliance systems across the Trust

What were looking for

Essential:

• Proven experience of regulatory compliance and risk assessments
• Strong knowledge of compliance legislation
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport

Desirable:

• Experience working within an educational setting
• NEBOSH qualification
• Additional compliance-related training (e.g. fire safety asbestos legionella)
