Job Summary

4 months contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

  • The postholder will be responsible for assessing incoming referrals identifying client needs and directing individuals to the most appropriate support services both within the Council and through external partners. The role combines client triage administration data management compliance monitoring and customer service ensuring participants receive timely and effective support.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for clients via telephone email online enquiries and community-based activities.
  • Assess referrals and self-referrals to determine the most appropriate support pathway.
  • Conduct initial triage assessments and gather relevant information regarding individual needs and circumstances.
  • Coordinate appointments assessments reviews and referrals for clients accessing programme support.
  • Support the development of individual action plans alongside mentors and employment support staff.
  • Ensure individuals are referred to suitable internal and external employment skills training and support services.
  • Provide basic information and guidance regarding available programmes and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Essential Experience Required
    • Experience working in a customer-facing frontline community employability or support services role.
    • Experience providing administrative support in a busy environment.
    • Experience managing records databases and administrative processes.
  • Essential Qualifications Required
    • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.

  • Contract Duration: 4 months with a local authority
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Ty Elai Heol Dinas Isaf Tonypandy Rhondda Cynon Taf CF401NY United Kingdom
  • Enhanced DBS - Childrens & Adults Barred Lists required.
  • Work pattern: Typically 3 days in the office 2 days remote

  • Payment Schedule: Bi-weekly
