About the role

Reporting to the Transport Manager youll play a key role in the planning and coordination of daily transport operations ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently compliantly and to a high standard. Using our Velocity TMS system youll work closely with drivers warehouse teams and UK/export teams to optimise routes and resources.

You will be responsible:

• Planning daily transport operations using Velocity TMS optimising fleet and subcontractor utilisation

• Coordinating with drivers warehouse teams and export operations to meet delivery requirements

• Managing both own fleet and subcontractors including freight forwarding activity

• Ensuring compliance with driver hours regulations and transport best practices

• Responding to operational issues and adapting plans in real time

• Maintaining strong communication across internal teams and external partners

• Building and maintaining relationships with drivers customers and suppliers

About you

Youll have experience in transport planning within a fastmoving logistics environment with a good understanding of driver hours compliance and operational planning. Experience managing both fleet and subcontractors along with freight forwarding exposure would be highly beneficial. A CPC (National/International) qualification is desirable.

Youll be confident using Microsoft Office systems and able to adapt quickly to transport management systems such as Velocity. Strong organisational skills initiative and a proactive mindset are essential as youll be working in a fastpaced everchanging environment.
