Were looking for an organised and proactive individual to coordinate transport operations across Essexs Recycling Centres for Household Waste (RCHWs). Youll be responsible for planning vehicle routes managing driver rotas across a seven-day operation and maintaining fleet and driver records to ensure compliance with Essex County Council policies and operator licence requirements. Working closely with the Transport Manager youll help ensure materials are transported efficiently to disposal and reprocessing facilities. Youll also support transport compliance and act as the designated TM2 in the Transport Managers absence. The role includes line management responsibility for a team of drivers overseeing daily operations resource allocation safety training and vehicle maintenance planning in partnership with administration teams. This is a great opportunity for someone with transport planning experience strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering safe efficient and compliant services. Therefore the post holder will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicleor the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
