Were looking for a Transport Operations Administrator to join our expanding team in Ipswich. The Role
As a Transport Operations Administrator youll play a key part in supporting the day-to-day transport operation by:
- Managing transport bookings and maintaining accurate job records
- Speaking with customers to process bookings provide updates and answer enquiries
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of vehicles and drivers
- Preparing checking and maintaining transport and compliance documentation including PODs and driver paperwork
- Liaising with drivers warehouse staff and other departments to keep operations running efficiently
- Providing general administrative support to the Transport team
- Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
About You
Were looking for someone who is:
- Experienced within an administration transport or logistics environment
- Confident communicating with customers over the phone and via email
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a busy fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
- Computer literate with good IT skills
- Flexible to work between our operating hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm on a rotating shift pattern
Desirable
- Experience using transport or warehouse management systems
- Knowledge of transport compliance and logistics documentation
Working Hours
During your first 6-8 weeks youll work 08:30-17:00 while completing your training.
Following this youll move onto a 3-week rotating shift pattern:
- 07:00-16:00
- 08:00-17:00
- 09:00-18:00
